The end's around the corner
I know that you know
Your body language hides it
But everyone knows

Do not fear
Leaving us here
We've seen your laughter,
Love and smile
Letting us know
It was all worth while

Do not hold on to this place
Just let go
Never worrying
About troubles down below

You're one step closer to heaven
I feel you grasp my hand
Yours slips from mine
Allowing your memory
One last rewind

Your almost to heaven
Caught in between
The open sky
And the stars that gleam

At last you can cast off from this Earth
Your eyes shudder still
And your body now stalls
I gently push your eyelids down
As I feel your soul
Flurry around

Tonight you left
Halo in hand
Harp in your heart
Singing the song
Of another life
Gone

So, Rest In Peace, my dear friend
Knowing that you were born to mend
And died to show us
How the agony of touch
And the burns of scars
Are what let us
Grasp the stars
