Chapter 3: Clubbing and Danger

I woke right as the sun began to set, witnessing the magnificent colors that consumed the scattered clouds. The first star fought as it tired to show through the last beams of sunlight, hoping to show the world its diamond like twinkle within the sky. I chuckled at its pointless efforts, not understanding why it always wanted to shine though this tainted night.

Though, after watching a bit more, it had finally shined throughout the night along the rising moon. Without knowing, a lullaby my mother once sang to me, washed passed my lips, coming out softly like this shimmering night.

little child doesn't be afraid of the night

For the light of moon will guide your sight.

And when your path seems to fall astray,

Always remember my words today.

You are not alone anymore,

For you are guide by one single star.

And that star will shine for you,

When you feel lost or alone.

Little child born from darkness,

May you always know this.

You are that from above,

Here to light the wavering night.

Remember you are not alone,

For father and me are here for you.

Make a wish upon your star,

And let your dreams take flight.

For you never know,

What gift will be besotted upon you.

Bits of memory of my mother seep in, dancing within my mind as I sang a few more lines. Her smile burned within as a man beside her patted my soft head. All I could see was them along with light lavender covers never to me, as she sang her little lullaby to me. My brother's wails had ceased as he laid in mother's arms while I sat next to the strange man.

Soon, the song began to die within my voice and silenced with the windless night. I glance down to see I was still in my red tank top a black silk pajama pants. Sighing in my stupidity, I walk back to my from the balcony to my large walk in closet. I unlocked the door, noticing countless outfits of red, silver, lavender and above all Black. Fiddling through both pants and tops I spot my favorite dress that I rarely wore.

Smiling to myself, I turn from the closet, moving past my bed to my master like bathroom. The floors as well as the counters were made of pure marble imported from some foreign land that shined with fresh polish while the cabinets were a fine oak wood. Even the shower and tub were made from the stunning marble!

Satisfied at the sight, I lean over and twist on the facet of the shower, thinking it would be better to go clean as well refreshed for our 'mission'. The steam seeped over the curtains as I climbed in, welcoming the warmth of the water.

Never once had I've taken a cold shower like some say you're supposed to. I'd rather scorch myself then freeze into a block of ice. The fragrance of lilac invades my sense once I had twisted the facet to dry my self, making sure I wouldn't pay for leaving it on again like the last time.

Man did Denis have a cow that day, along with Becky snickering in the back ground as Denis told me never to waste water. And yet he's a millionaire who inherited his money from his deceased family, one of the other reasons Becky sucks up to him.

In fact, I had a feeling that Becky was going to try to seduce him again. An icy feeling creped up my spin at the thought, remembering the last time we all had went clubbing.

-Flashback-

"Denis! Denis baby can we have a solo dance?" Becky 's voice was at the top of its sweetness as her hips swaying side to side in her mini skirt that was laced from the side, barley hanging on to her while her top was almost slipping off.

"Denis, I 'd really like it if you were to dance with me." she purred in his ear while sneaking glances at May, who was right next him. I sneered as they left, a bit glad she was gone but with May 's crush I was a bit tense. Glancing back to May her face seemed down cast while her eyes stared after them, not knowing what to do at all.

" Don't worry, Becky cant do much but flirt. She isn't good at seducing, trust me, I've seen it before and I'm scared for life" I exclaimed to May, seeing her eyes regain life in them.

"Really? What was it like?" she asked, trying to hold back a laugh or too. Imaging Becky trying to seduce men.

"Like a fish thrashing in shallow water." I chuckled while Mays face grew pale.

"God that's awful!" she dramatically declared, throwing her hands to her face.

"Indeed, it will forever burn into my innocent mind." I said, showing a fake distressed look.

"Such a brave soul you are." Now I was on the verge of laughing from the pathetic remarks May made, seeing she just wanted me to laugh for once.

"Come on, let's go dance. We can wait for miss fish and Denis later." May cut in, wiping some tears away.

"Sounds good, let me go to the restroom first, I wanted to check to see for my wallet since it's so dim in here." Looking over I point out how dim the room was, that was cranked up with music. The people were going crazy in here, throwing some moves that looked a bit whacked.

"Ok, I'll wait by the bar, maybe Max will be there." I nodded in agreement, watching her stroll of as I squeezing my way through people.

I've could had sworn my rum was touched as I exited the crowed, with a few smirking men behind me, it conclude that I was indeed, correct. My temper simmered at this, but quickly threw it to the side for later, my mind set on finding the rest room. I somewhat lied to May about the whole bathroom idea.

Yes I need my wallet but I was curious. When I started to chat with May, she didnt see me watching Denis and Becky leaving, but not to the dance floor. She was leading him to the back, near the restroom area. Little did they know my ever vigilant eyes were watching, and showed hell within them.

Slyly moving from the corner I look to the door of the ally. To my right was the men's room and to my left the women's. I was about to head for the men's when a sudden squeal stopped me in my tracks. It came from the women's room, and it sounded high for ones voice.

'I found them..but how I ruin their fun is another problem.' Unexpectedly I spot a waitress from the corner of my eye on the dance floor, serving drinks to all the thirsty adults and teens.

'Looks like I got my idea handed to me on a silver platter.' With this in mind, I tap my finger on the waitresses shoulder, trying to get her attention.

"Yes?" she questioned while turning to see me. She was maybe an inch shorter than me and looked a bit taken aback by my intimidating looks.

"how can I help you?" she whispered, stepping back bit from me.

"You wouldn't mind if I barrowed a uniform from you? Don't worry I'll give it back." I rose a brow to the girl, seeing she was thinking it over very slowly.

"What for? That's against the rules-"

"I have a hundred dollars right here in cash for one if you don't ask why." I remarked, pulling out the hundred dollar bill. Her eyes widen at the bill, probably shocked since her salary is about 2.00s an hour.

"Sure! Ill go get one for you." I handed her the bill as she darted away to the employee's only room and within seconds came out with n outfit similar to her black one.

"Here you go!" she stated cheerfully, and went back to work, shoving the hundred dollar bill in her pocket.

"The things kids will do theses days for money." Shaking my head at this, I progressed from the room of lights and music to a closet were I swapped out my clothing with the outfit. Hastily I rushed into the men's room, seeing an empty bucket.

Gladly I took it and push it into the sink, shoving hot, steaming water into it. My devious plan seemed over the top but when it came to Becky's suffering I was the first in line.

Silently open the door to the women's room, still hearing moans and sorts I wished to never hear.

"Denis, how do you like the back rub?" I scoffed when he replied I enjoyed it, which in my mind meant time to burn both and make them turn red.

'5..4..3..2..1..Now!' on instant I threw the water over the stall, hearing it hit the target full on.

"AHHHHHHH WHAT THE-!" Becky's so sweet, menacing voice shrilled out as the hiss of the hot water simmers on her flesh.

'Ah, music to my ears.' I covered my mouth hiding the chuckle from coming out. Without warning she threw the door open, her face a scarlet red while her eyes a beating red. She looked around till her eyes landed n me. 'oh crap.. '

"YOU!" she growled out in a beast like fashion. Trying to charge at me, but landed face down on the floor since she tripped on the bucket.

'I was saved by a bucket. Somebody likes me.' taking this chance I dashed away, slamming the door behind me to slow her down. Swiftly I entered the closet were my close were, and changed inside. I made sure to leave the waitress outfit inside so she wouldn't see, if anything I hoped Denis didn't see. If he did I'd be dead.

Once more I moved into the dancing crowed, hiding my self from the beast that was a ferocious scarlet now. Finding my way to the bar I find May chatting with Max, Denise's twin broth except he had dirty blond hair instead and hated Becky. Sitting down casually I spot Becky shoving throw the crowd, anger written all over her features.

She pointed a shaky finger at my form, trying to catch her breath

"You..did this to ME! " She shriek, making every one stop to look at us.

"I did what?" I questioned stupidly, hiding my smirk.

"You boiled me like a lobster that's what! My perfect skin is now RUINED!" her holler made May clasp her ears.

"Hey others are trying to eat here, your drool isn't going to make it any better!" She yelled back, glaring at her red face. Some of the crowed chuckled at this, staring Becky down.

"WHY YOU-"

"Becky shut it! It wasn't her for what ever reason your all wet and red, she's been with us the whole time!" at this the crowed replied with yays, nodding their heads at the statement. I twist to see Max the one who had yelled out, seeing he was ready to chase the 'thing' Denis adored out of here.

"No! It was her! I swear she did this!" Becky cried out, looking for Denis.

"Denis hun! Tell these people what you saw! She burned me didn't she?" She ran up to Denis, begging him to agree with her.

"I don't know.. Max was she with you?" Denis inquired to his brother, seeking the truth. "Yes she was. Never left at all." He exclaimed, glancing over to me with i 'you owe me your life' look.

"Ok, come on Becky, Lets get going." He ushered her to move and thankfully she did, but before she left she gave one final glare as she left the dance room, leaving Max, May and I in the club.

-End Of Flashback-

"HEY! Faith come on! We got to go! Denis is getting very inpatient again." Mays voice ranged from behind my doors, banging with her fists.

"hold on a seck..ok I'm done." My massacre was now fully applied along with my lips gloss and blush. I rarely needed make-up like others but sometimes add a bit just for kicks.

"Finally! I thought you had to get lectured again by Denis." May said in relief, holding onto her hips. I look over May seeing she wore a mini dress as well but in red that clung to her nicely, she also had red lip stick and boots that went with the out fit. Swiftly we run down the stairs, thankfully to make it to a not to angered Denis and Max.

"Well you made it on time, that's a change." He wore a maroon shirt with black pants, a chain at his side while Max wore a blue shirt that was a bit ripped up but look awesome on him with black pants as well and chain but to the opposite side of Denis's chain. I could see his eyes wonder at Mays form, a slight blush on his cheeks.

"Let's go, I'm bored stiff here!" Becky whined to Denis, holding securely to his arms. My face turned to one of disgust as I saw her dress choice this time.

Her was a slim bit tight mini dress. The color of choice a sickening Barbie pink along with green hoops holding the straps and middle of it. I swear to god if she bended over now the moon would cry. Planting an artificial smile along my lips, greeting her as I mouthed a hello but instead of receiving one back I got a death glare. She loves me oh so much.

"Alright, every one in the limo before I shove you all again." Denis ordered, holding tightly to Becky with his left arm. The whole time we were in the limo Denis sat on the other side of May, Max and I while he sat next to Becky, who at the moment, was rubbing his shoulders the entire time.

The screech of the limos tires against the asphalt comes to a halt, causing Becky to dig her fingers into Denis's neck since she was to stupid to wear a seat belt. Holding back a sinker I watched as the butler, John Stump, instantly open our doors for us to exit.

Briefly looking around I see countless people in a line, chatting or flirting as they wait to enter the club. Since Denis was well known they allowed us to enter before them, causing some girls to whine about it while men grunted in irritation.

The music was cranked up to maxim, almost making it imposable to understand what the other was saying.

"Keep a look out for anything, I read that a couple girls who had come here had disappeared from here." Denis conclude, glancing over ever inch of the club.

"May and I have brought our guns just in case we ran into some blood suckers." My stern voice whispered lowly, staring back to May who patted her boot, showing both Max and Denis were our weapons were located.

We separated when the next song came up called 'Sexy back' by Justin Timberlake making others strut on the dance floor or swing their hips. I didn't feel up to it but decide to dance anyway, while keeping one eye on the floor and one toward the back. From the corner of my eye I could see Becky and Denis, both trying to dance to the beat while on the other side I could see Max and May doing much better then them. Sadly to say I was alone but various eyes were on me, which wasn't really what I wanted at the moment.

"Hey there, you're a good dancer, why not dance with me?" A slurred male voice from behind asks, sounding as though he would pass out any second. I ignore his presence, seeing that I had no time to waist with the likes of drunken men.

"HEY! I'm talking to you" He slurred as he grabbed my shoulder and tried to twist me around but in one swing in my fist he was down for the count. I look down to see a male around 20 or so, with brown hair.

I grunted at this and walked away from the floor to the back near the ally, hoping to get some fresh air from the stench of alcohol. The night was cool and crisp, just like so many others that Ill learned to hunt in. My shoulder was sore from the man's harsh grasp, causing me to rub it as I leaned against the brick wall. The hairs on my neck bristle when a chilling rush of air hits me.

Gazing around me I spot a figure at the end of the ally, staring back at me with b ravished /b red eyes. Just by those eyes I could tell they belonged to those vampires, and this one was on the verge of killing every victim it came upon.

I could even smell the fresh scent of blood reeking from its body. Its sinuous movements neared my form, appearing ever more hungrier then before. As it came to the light, I could see his beautiful features that every vampire had but though perfect on the outside it just hidden their true nature within a fake shell.

Reaching into my boot, I withdrew my revolver, clasping it so it wouldn't fall from my weary hands. Pointing it to the vampire's direction, I waited till he was closer in range. He was to busy staring at my neck he didnt notice the pistol till he was dead center. Pulling the trigger I watched as the bullet flew, hitting him dead on.

Concluding it was over I turned back only to find another in my face. His eyes were the same blood red as the other, while his fangs glimmered in the moon light, I tried to shove my gun to his head but he swiped it away, making me only stare as he neared my neck.

I thrashed about, hoping to get away but was held down when he grasped my arms.

I waited for the pain I was about to face when suddenly the vampire stopped. He was only an inch away that made me wonder why. Without warning he clasped to the ground, only to reveal a man behind him. I tried to thank him but my voice was caught in my throat, making it impossible to speak.

When his eyes met mine I froze. Piecing gold that blazed within an unknown spark burned my forest green ones. Yes beautiful they were yet that's not why I froze. They reminded me of the very one that I saw that day when my mother and brother were taken from me.

The one that ruined my life.
