Decision Time

We stand side by side pressed

close together with months of lies

between us and I can’t meet your eyes.

Doors of fate spin around us.

We’ve hit the end of the line -

it’s decision time.

III

Two moments, two words,

and your secret-no-longer

is spread even farther

to those wise with age but foolish with love.

They listen with their closed ears

and just refuse to hear.

III

Lock all the doors with deadbolts and chains,

demand infinite chances you don’t deserve,

just ignore the icy panic shredding through my nerves.

Roll the die and hope sheer will is enough

because what else can I do -

just know that if you die I’ll die too.

A/N: Yes, I did realize that there’s something wrong with the rhythm and it doesn’t make any sense. It's about my friend who has anorexia.
