Pick me up, spin me ‘round

but please don’t drop me,

we’re far too high for free fallin’ love,

our laughter ricochets off the silence,

brightening the moondappled

grey and silvers we’ve immersed ourselves in,

by the shades,

redgreenyellowblueorangepurple

rainbow or translucent

its our world now

and we’ve freed the child within ourselves,

two little girls racing backwards in time,

back home to hopscotch and slapjack,

crayola promises, and a brilliant play-dough sunrise.

Spin, laugh, spin,

faster, hold on tight now, don’t ever let me go

for its so hard to climb this high alone,

and uno was never meant for just one,

swirling starlight, glimmering moon,

both so beautiful but beware

cestial dust is dizzying in large amounts,

so lets spiral downward,

hand in hand,

back to the vortex called reality

where nothing is ever still.
