Lies of Pain.

Is it fair for the person next to you,

Get blamed for the lies you have told,

The people you have hurt.

Everyone around has lied,

Some may regret,

But others live happy with themselves.

Do we lie to protect ourselves,

Or are we protecting something else,

Is it fear that makes us lie.

People fear lies,

We don’t want to believe the truth,

When the truth comes, we do not believe.

To lie is to have the power,

Over someone else’s mind,

Over someone else’s faith.
