---- Nameless ----

Poetry is...

An expression of feeling

An apparatus of healing

Somehow, Tara, you've reduced me to kneeling

Humble, broken down; I guess I'm getting what goes around

Karma's a bitch and so was I

Never really stopped loving you; Don't know why

You found a way inside my heart

Even after all these years, you were there from the start

But you're happy, you're in love, or so you sound

I'm in the shadows, thoughts of you are my playground

Everywhere I go, it feels you're just a few steps away

My mental love affair, that's where we play

I like to pretend that you're in love with me too

That you feel the same way I do

That we just have to wait it out until the time is right

But then I wake from my dreams and turn on the light

I prepare for the day with only my shadow in company

You'll never know what you mean to me.
