Definition

I am an ocean
Constantly moving, transforming,
Changing
At times serene, like
The featherlike glow of the
Maidenly moon
At times turbulent, like
The furious flame burning in the
Devil’s den
But after my fire dies,
As placid as a field of
Dreaming dandelions,
I sleep

I am abstract
In the most materialistic
Way

I am a black hole,
Devouring all sights, sounds,
And experiences
Intertwining within,
Like vines they grow,
Transforming me
My inner waves toss and turn
Ideas are formed and thrown over
Thoughts are remembered and forgotten
Dreams are chased and shattered
With every crash of my waves
I change

I am fetal
Morphing with every step of
Time

I am not eternal
I wash away the forgotten,
The cherished, and the
Sediments of life
While time erodes me
Slowly
As the matter within me
Live, pass, and decay
I trudge on forward to
A new self
Along with every passing era
I age

I am mortal
But we all are but far from being
Immortal

Of the infinite water drops
That interlocks to form
Me
Every one is an
Individual
With their own ideas
Convictions, and opinions
These intricately woven threads
Of a million thoughts
Define me,
Leaving me with
No definition

I am perplexing
And often I perplex
Myself

I am an ocean

Define me
