This poem was about an old boyfriend and myself. The Fire and Water refer to our Astro signs. I'm a Sagittarius (Fire) and he was Cancer (Water).

The Circle is cast.
The Goddess watches over her children as they meet for the start of the Dance.
For a long time, the dancers had been watching each other in silence across a dark, noisy, crowded room full of dancers and wallflowers and chaperones.
This day, however, they meet at last, away from the crowd, alone in the Garden, to dance together for the rest of eternity.
The Dance begins. Fire and Water merge together, yet the Fire is not extinguished, nor is the Water evaporated. The elements join together in a perfect union, lighting the eternal flame.
The Goddess smiles. Her job is done.
