Gone Today, Here Tomorrow

I’m always going to be here tomorrow
That’s my certified guarantee to you
Coffee machines make up half the kitchen today but I know
You’ll need just one cup
I wish I knew what you liked, I’d get me some
Karma knows my name too well, so much better than my parents
And money comes in short supply, like it does for an artist
Read between the lines, love
You can be such a visionary, not an insult
There are airplanes painted in the sky indoors
I wish I could fly, but they’d be wings someone else built
The thought is so romantic, don’t you think?
I can see Italy in the windows
Behind me or in front, there would be loved ones
Coming home before tomorrow
But what about the mistakes before that?
Can’t I have a little pick me up?
I’ll try the raspberry mocha today
I’ll try to chose something different when I’m lost in tomorrow
Even if it’ll never come…
