The burble of gasoline,
Danger, go, fast
It sounds like a brook
Spilling on the ground.

It reeks a pungent jolt,
Burning the inside of the nose,
Goes around the brain,
Muddles the thoughts.

It feels like gritty water,
Even though there’s no grit to it.
Coating the skin in slick water,
The burning liquid that melts plastic.

It tastes like… nothing,
The mouth doesn’t dare touch it.
If it burns the flesh,
What will it do the insides?

It’s nothing but a gasoline rainbow,
Sitting there shimmering in the sun,
Strike a match, flare of light,
Stand back and watch

It

Burn.
