In Your Arms

How can one miss

What one doesn’t know?

And how does one know

Exactly how the unknown feels?

Each night

When dreams take me

I am in your arms

Completely safe, completely content

And how do I know

That when dreams turn real,

That my dreaming becomes

Nothing but shadow

How can it be

That without you

I can’t concentrate

For my focus is on you

But when I am with you

My thoughts scatter

And I am left

Utterly speechless

I speak of you constantly

I think of you always

I can always hear your voice

Or your fingers in my hair

Seldom apart

Each second agony

Yearning to sink into dreams

You wait for me there

And I can spend

Another night at your side

Eternally protected

In your arms
