This is something I write when I was in global one day. I was surprised at my emotion towards this particular subject. I apologize to anyone who gets offended from this. I just want to mention that the book Night, by Elie Wiesel, inspired a big part of this.
Where Was He?
Where was he when we needed him?
Where was he when it all began?
During the Holocaust he was needed,
But he wasn’t there.
During the many, many wars he was needed, but he never came.
Why?
If he is so all mighty and powerful,
Then why?
Why couldn’t he help?
Why couldn’t he make a difference?
Yet still today he is needed,
Mass murders, crimes beyond belief,
The death of the innocent,
All feeling betrayed,
They didn’t deserve it,
The innocent kids,
Taken before their time,
Where was he then?
Where is he now?
Genocide in Africa,
Murder on the streets,
The sick minded and the all powerful,
I don’t get it,
I can’t see,
Please,
Somebody tell me, Where was he?
Why should I believe, when he is never there?
Never there to help,
Yet people still believe he cares,
“He loves you”
That’s what they say,
Love?
Where?
Where is the proof of this so-called love?
I tried to believe,
I really did,
But all it took was one too many mistake’s and it was over,
The faith that they preach about?
Lies, all lies,
This may sound cynical,
And for that I apologize,
But were is God?
Lost.
Lost in my eyes.
