Summary: A strange dream goes on as Kuro worries about Natty's love life.
Author's Notes: This takes place in Chapter 8, the night that Natty spends the night in Kuro's room.
Kuro woke up from the floor and automatically noticed his own bed empty. He turned his head to his room mate, Locke, who was practicing yoga on his bed.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Kuro asked loudly. Locke looked at him peacefully and tilted his head.
"Meditating..." he replied. Kuro rose an eyebrow and looked down in confusion. He looked back up and now saw Locke juggling rubber balls in the air.
"What the--" Kuro shook his head and tried to get back to the main thought. "Where's Natty? Did you see her leave?"
Locke continued to juggle and answered quietly, "Don't you know, Kuro? Natty's getting married today."
"What?!"
Now he strolled down the street, but came to a railroad crossing that was blocking his way.
"STAMPEDE!" He heard someone shout. Then he head the loud rumble and felt the earth shake under him. A dark cloud tumbled down the railroad and passing by him, caused by... bunnies?!
Once they tumbled away, the blockings rose up, and Kuro went on his merry way.
"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late for an important date! No time to say "Hello!" Goodbye! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!!" Someone yelled behind him. Kuro turned his head back to see who it was, and saw his 3rd grade teacher, Mr. Harris, with a suit and a pair of bunny ears on. The small, stubby man frantically looked at his watch, and struggled to keep up with Kuro's tricycle. Mr. Harris then turned sharply once they reached a crossroad, and ran into a tall jungle. Kuro kept peddling on.
Beyond the horizon, he saw a tall white chapel ringing its bells.
"I hope I'm not late!" He yelled. Peddling harder with all his might, Kuro didn't notice a large pot hole in his way. The tire plunged into the big hole, and the tall tricycle turned over, making Kuro crash to the ground.
"Aghhh!" Kuro growled, now stuck under the bike. He slipped out from underneath, and dusted his boxers off. He looked up ahead of him, and noticed the chapel only a few blocks away. Kuro squinted his eyes in determination, and clenched his fists. He started to jog down the street, with the bells ringing louder and louder as he got closer. Once he reached the front door, he took a moment to breathe. He looked up at the tall brown door that had carvings of roses and lilies blooming, and wondered why he was even here in the first place.
'But Natty is here. That's why I'm here.' He nodded to himself, and slowly pushed the door open. Inside he saw a large hall with 20 doors.
"Shit! Which one is she in?"
He darted down the hall, and picked a random door. He pulled it open dramatically, and stomped into the room. Down the aisle, he heard her finishing her vows.
"To love and to cherish, till death--" She said gloomily. The veil had covered her face, but he could tell by her voice that she looked very unhappy. Then it erupted from his chest.
"STOP!"
Everyone turned their heads quickly to look at the interupter, curious as to what he was about to say. Kuro gulped loudly, as the room quieted down to a complete silence. He looked forward, and saw that she was giving him her full attention.
"You can't do this...!" Kuro started, as he started to trudge down the aisle. Everyone's head followed him as he climbed up the stairs, and stood in front of her at the alter.
"Why not?" She whispered. Kuro bit his lip nervously.
"Because..." His hand reached out to her veil, and slipped it over her head. A pimply and chubby face looked up at him with big brown eyes.
"WAH!" Kuro yelled.
"What? What is it??" The bride asked, clinging to his hands. She pleaded for him to continue. Kuro looked back at the groom, who was popping his fingers slowly, and giving a look of death. He quickly looked back at the bride.
"Y-Y-Your not Natty!!" Kuro stuttered, pulling back from the couple quickly.
"No! I'm Bonita! But please! Continue what you were about to say!" She begged, trying to bring him back. Kuro ran back down the aisle as fast as he could and waved to everyone nervously.
"Sorry everyone! Wrong room! Ahahaha...ha..." Then he closed the door quickly. A sigh of relief escaped him, and he took a moment to let the blood from his face flow back into his body.
'That was embarrassing...' He thought. He stood up strait, and looked around again.
"I can't get it wrong this time..." He told himself. Then all of the doors disappeared, except for one. Kuro looked at it with hope, and ran towards it. "That must be it!"
It seemed like forever for him to reach the door. Every step that he took towards it, it would go farther back. Kuro started to get tired, but kept running.
"Natty!" He croaked. He reached a hand out to the door handle, and managed to grab onto it. He smiled with victory, and pulled it open. Inside, there was a window that showed the wedding down below him. Kuro walked up to the glass, and pressed a hand up to it. In front of him was Natty in a white summer dress with a tiara of flowers around the crown of her head. Beside her stood Kevin, in a black tux, and his vibrant red hair popping out. Amazingly enough, Mr. Harris was standing in front of them, telling them their vows with his bunny ears still on his head.
"Kevin, will you have this woman to be your wife to live together according to God’s decree in the holy estate of marriage? Will you love her, comfort her, honour and keep her, in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, faithfully keep to her alone, so long as you both shall live?"
"Eeeee-Yep! Forever and ever!" Kevin replied happily, grinning from ear to ear. Kuro looked at Natty, who then frowned as she knew that her vows were about to be told. And once again, something erupted from his gut. He clenched his fist, and began pounding at the glass window.
"Natty!! Natty!!"
The couple looked up at the window, and almost instantly, Natty smiled up at him.
"Kuro!" He smiled at her, and saw a set of stairs that led him down into the room. He ran quickly, and reached the bottom floor in no time. He reached the couple at the alter, and faced her.
"Natty!! I..."
"What is it, Kuro?" She asked, looking up at him.
"Yeah, Kuro. What is it?" Kevin asked, obviously sounding annoyed. Kuro bit his lip again, and his fist curled.
"I... I..." He didn't know what to say. What was his purpose of being here? Was he worried about her? Did he just not want her to marry Kevin? Or maybe... did he...?
"C'mon Kuro." Natty laughed. She grabbed his hand, and led him down the aisle away from Kevin. And they exited out of the chapel together, laughing and still holding hands. They stopped at the steps outside of the chapel, and faced the long road ahead of them.
"So you came all this way, just for me?" Natty asked, brushing her bangs out of the way. Kuro blushed, and gripped her hand. Natty replied with a light laugh, and then faced him.
"You must've come here for some reason." She stated. Kuro gave a small nod, and let his other hand brush her cheek. She glanced at his hand, and blinked quickly. And his own body pulled her head closer, and let his lips brush hers. Natty smiled under the kiss, and looked back up at him.
"I thought so." And they kissed again.
"I have no idea. Looks like he's having a naughty dream." Locke answered.
"Mmm...Mwah, Mwah, Mwah..." Kuro hugged the pillow against his face, and gave it muffled kisses and little laughs as he continued to fantasize.
"Lets just leave him be, then." Natty sighed. She looked at Locke and smiled. "Thanks for letting me stay in your room for the night. Tell Kuro that I'll see him later." Locke nodded, and looked back down at his room mate. When she left the room, Locke kicked Kuro in the side with his bare foot.
"Be glad that she was asleep when you were saying her name, you big dumbass."
