Toll

Pain.

Ravenous hunger.

Exhausted people,

Crying.

Lives submerged underwater.

Incomprehensible words drowned by tears.

There are fragments of cities.

Reckless people do not care.

The din of noise.

Headaches,

Treatments,

Tributes.

Prayers for survival are answered.

Tears are dried.

Hope is in the hearts of thousands.

Loss is in the hearts of more.

Incredible people,

Optimistic about the future,

Working feverishly to help,

To help ease the toll of the tsunami.
