Just Waiting

Time passes in a flash
Slows down only when we don’t want it to
It holds us by the neck
Our lives at its mercy & by its hand

He’s neither our friend nor foe.

Seasons come and go
Sometimes we just don’t notice
A natural occurrence that we all know
But are filled with so much memories

They never help us forget – only remember.

Clouds cover up the sky
They can hide the rays of the sun
Controlling the fall of rain
During the moments we feel like crying

Timing for them is natural.

Love takes over us
Filling our once empty hearts full
At the same time tying them with chains
Once too much, our hearts burst – once too less, our hearts freeze

It doesn’t come when we ask, only when we least expect it.

So here comes waiting
It gives us time
To watch how seasons come & go
As rain pours down from the sky
& finally, reserves us for that special someone that sweeps us off our feet

true love accompanied by waiting
