Silent Heartbreak
This is what I was before
Now I’m empty and my chest is sore
The black thorns have taken their hold
In my soul as it’s turning cold

This is my world destroyed
In the darkness everything is void
But it doesn’t matter ‘cause I don’t care
Cold and alone with a distant stare

This is a pain I can’t ignore
Wish it to stop, I can’t take it anymore
Close my eyes against the burning
Fists clenched to fight the useless yearning

This is the confusion I feel
What is wrong and what is real
Feels like everything’s upside-down
In my pain I will surely drown

And this is the sound a heart makes
When the world goes silent as it breaks
