I must be careful

Not to get locked-

Locked in the pit of despair.

Pit? What am I saying..

It’s more of a field; an expanse

That goes on forever.

It’s not desperation.

But a hopelessness so deep

One wallows.

You feel alone.

As if no ones else could understand.

Thought you do so wish very much

That if only someone despaired

As much as you.

That if only someone cared

As much as you.

That if only someone took the time

To pull you through.

To show you there is a reason

A reason to hope.

To prove to you the world is different,

That it will change.

But in the end

It all remains.

No one understands

So you go on about your life.

Some depart

Some meander

Some hope.

Some hope so hard

So, so hard that it hurts.

Oh how I wish you would hope with me.

Do not avoid the despair

Do not ignore the despair

Do not wallow in the despair

Use it.

It is your motivation.

Cultivate it

It’s your guiding station.

Heighten your morals

Become the change

Become the change you want to see.

And maybe

Just maybe

You’ll see me.

-----

A/N- i personified truth- i wrote as if i were truth itself. "I, ME" refers to truth. as in: "..maybe- jsut maybe you'll see the truth."
