Verse One

Okay, so, this is how it goes

There’s this girl that I had been with for a while

Then she ran from me and said some things

She says she regrets what she said and did

And I forgave her a long time ago

I don’t hold nothing against her

I still want to be there for her

Still want to be her soldier

Her bodyguard from danger

Her shield from the storm

But there’s just one issue with her little plan

We goin separate ways after high school

And I would hardly see her through college

I hardly see her enough as it is

So what’s a boy to do?

Chorus

What’s a boy to do, huh, girl?

When we hardly meet

So girl take a seat

And I’ll tell you how I feel

What’s a boy to do, girl?

What’s he to do?

Verse Two

It isn’t just her that gets to me though

She’s says she loves and I believe her, I do

But there’s only one other issue

There’s another girl that says she loves me

So when you have to girls who say they love you

What are you going to do?

When they both want the same thing

You now, the love for life

The little kids to call them mom

The ability to tell the world they’re in love

The wedding to invite their friends and family too

For their dad to walk them down the aisle and let em go

To wear that white dress and say ‘I do’

You know they want it

You want to give it to em

But one says she has to be the only one

Well there goes that idea, zip, good-bye

Well, what’s a boy to do?

Chorus

What’s a boy to do, huh, girl?

When we hardly meet

So girl take a seat

And I’ll tell you how I feel

What’s a boy to do, girl?

What’s he to do?

Outro

Yeah, what’s he to do?

I don’t mean to be harsh

Just to tell ya’s what I’m going through

I’m outta here
