Nor flowers by the door

Neither touching, kissing nor holding hands

Nor wanting something more

Love is the colours on your jacket

The scarlet loops and curls you adorn

In every gait and stride of your step

Of each mile you take on

Love is the way you sigh and speak

The way you say my name

The weak I feel in knee and chest

When you pass by and wave

But wait.

You feel no love for me

Never have you played such part

All along could I have been
