Bold Ryuu, Not bold Me
This is a literate roleplay between me and a friend of mine on a website called Gaia Online. We're having so much fun with the roleplay that I just couldn't let it go unseen by others. Everything is copied and pasted from our roleplay, and I don't have a spell checker right now, so you'll have to live with any spelling mistakes you find. If you let me know of one in a review I'll fix it when I get the time. Each chapter will consist of five forum pages worth of roleplaying.
------------------------
A teenaged girl wandered the side walks outside many shops and buildings, her long, blonde hair trailing along behind her. "There's got to be something to do around here." She said to herself, staring into windows as she passed by.
Grumbling darkly under his breath, a man with bright red eyes, coal black hair, and pale skin walked on the sidewalk lining a shopping district. "Fucking sunlight," he muttered, his head down, eyes squinted in an attempt to keep the sun out of his eyes.
"Hey, com'ere, girly." Came a voice a few feet in front of the girl. She looked up at the two guys that stood against a shop, gave a little 'Hmph' and continued walking. "Aw, com'on, cutey. Don't be like that." The shorter of the two said as they came up in front of her. She stopped and glared at them. "Out of my way." Her usually sweet voice was filled with a warning towards them, however, the two didn't move.
Not seeing where he was going, he ran headfirst into one of two men. Landing on his ass, he yelled, "What the fuck!?" Seeing that the two men were harassing a girl, he pulled himself to his feet and punched one of the men in the side of the face.
"Learn to respect women, that's the only way you'll ever get one," he growled.
"Shut yer yap!" The man who had gotten punched yelled. "This doesn't involve you." The other said. "He's right." Came the girl's voice as she sqeezed through the two men. "Don't worry, I can handle them." She gave a smile, but it faded as a hand grabbed her shoulder. Her gaze quickly shot to the man behind her as her own hands grabbed his, pulling his arm and flipping him onto the ground quite easily.
He leap back as the man the girl slammed into the ground landed inches from his feet. Flames shot out, engulfing the man closest to him, then quickly spreading to the other man as well. His eyes widened and for a moment he looked like a deer caught in the gaze of headlights just before getting hit.
"Shit!" he yelled, before taking off and vanishing into the semi-crowded sidewalks.
The girl jumped back as the flames had shot out. She watched the man run off, thought for a moment, then decided to follow him to make sure he was alright. She weaved in and out of the crowds of people and soon spotted him again. "Uh, hey! Wait up, will ya!" She called out to him over the chatter of other people.
He urged his legs faster and faster in order to get away from her. As he continued to panic, more fire seemed to erupt from him, setting random objects and people on fire as he ran.
"Shit!" he groaned loudly as he continued to run.
"Gosh darnit." She said, picking up her pace. Once she caught up to him, she ducked and, with her leg out, spun to trip him. "Ya know, it's not very nice to run away like that." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.
He yelled loudly as he slammed into crates on the sidewalk, immediately setting them on fire. He gasped for a moment, stunned. The fire seemed to erupt violently from his body, destroying things around him but leaving him untouched.
Sighing, she held out her hand as a ring of many different symbols formed around her hand. A moment later and a gush of water shot from her palm, soaking the man and drowning the flames.
The water seemed only to disorient him more as his body went limp and his face looked distorted.
Sighing, she picked him up enough to prop him against the near by wall then crouched down in front of him. "Hrm..." She lifted her right hand, poking at his forehead slightly, the silver bracelets on her wrist jingling as she moved her hand back down to her lap.
Flames shot out from him again as he came back to his senses. He quickly leap to his feet and took off running again.
Her eye twitched as she stood, staring after him. "Idiot." She mumbled. She lifted her hand again, the symbols appearing once more. "Thunderbolt!" A jolt of lighting came out of nowhere and hit the guy, hopefully to make him stop.
There was a loud scream from a few blocks away as he was lifted off the ground by the strike. He fell back to the pavement, unconscious.
"Stupid idiot shouldn't have run." She grumbled, walking over to the man and grabbing the collor of his shirt, dragging him along the ground. Soon they arrived in a shop a few block away. "Trey!" She called from the counter. "Trey! Trey, get your butt out here!"
"Alright, already!" Came a voice, followed by the appearance of a teenaged boy. He took one look at the unconscious man at the girl's feet and sighed. "What did you do this time?"
"I was trying to help him. He wouldn't stop, so I zapped 'im."
He let out a groan but didn't wake up.
"Kayla, can't you for once leave people alone?" Trey asked as he came out from around the counter. The symbols that had appeared around the girl's hand appeared around his and a small light blinked around the unconscious man on the floor. "That should do it." Trey said. Kayla hopped up onto the counter, crossing her legs and leaning back on her hands.
"Ungh," he exhaled as his eyelashes flickered a bit. Flames shot out from him again, this time raising above him in the shape of a dragon and staring directly at the Kayla and Trey.
"Do not touch us with your casting again..." the dragon hissed, standing protectively over the man still on the floor.
Trey stared at the dragon, taking a step back. "I apologize." He said. Kayla simply stared at the dragon with interest.
The dragon nodded respectfully at Trey before turning it's gaze solely on the girl. "He never harmed you," it hissed at her. "You had no right to chase or cast him."
"He wouldn't hold still." Kayla retorted.
"You had no right to to cast him!" it growled loudly.
"Please, Thunderbolt's nothing." Kayla said. "Now, if I had cast Lighting Strike, then you'd have a right to complain."
"You had no right to cast him," it growled again. "Learn some morals, child."
It turned to look down at the man and it nuzzled him with its great, fiery head. "Get up, let's leave before she casts you again," it said quietly to him.
He groaned and moved his head a bit, opening his eyes.
"Get up," the dragon repeated.
Kayla muttered something and hopped off the counter, walking over the man on the floor and leaving the shop.
Trey sighed as he watched Kayla leave. "Sorry about her. She hasn't quite been herself lately."
He pulled himself into a sitting position and rubbed the back of his head. "God that hurts," he cringed. The fire dragon nuzzled his upper arm.
"I'll make sure to have a talk with her later."
He cringed again, his head pounding. "Let's go," the dragon said, helping the up to his feet.
"Yeah, let's go," he said back to the dragon.
Trey gave a bow before returner to the back of the store.
Kayla was at the park, doing what she always did when she wasn't in the best of moods; fighting. A group of men surrounded her, each twice her size. One of them dived at her from behind; she simply jumped, flipping backwards and kicking the guy in the back, pushing him to the ground. "Can't any of you fight!?" All of them went at her at once; dodge, duck, punch, flip, a series of kicks and they were all on the ground with her simply standing there as they got up, leaving as fast as they could. She sighed, walking away and taking a seat on the ground next to the large fountain.
The dragon vanished and the man stumbled out of the shop.
Kayla rested her arms on the edge of the fountain as she stared down into the water, thinking. "Maybe... I should go back home." She said quietly.
He stumbled down the sidewalk by the park on his way home, or whatever it was he was calling it now. His face clearly showed how badly his head hurt. He tripped over himself and as he fell, caught himself on the fence surrounding the park.
Kayla's gaze caught the man she had run into earlier. She hesitated, but stood up and walked over to him. "Um, hey..." She said quietly, keeping her gaze down. "Sorry, about earlier."
He looked up at her, the pain in the back of his head showing through his eyes. "Don't cast me again," he said quietly. "Especially not electricity. I have a chip in my head that really doesn't like it when people fry me."
"I really am sorry." She said quietly.
"Then... could you help me home?" he asked, holding tightly to the fence. He wasn't sure how long he'd be able to walk at this rate, and the dragon couldn't help him while out in the open. The chip in his brain wasn't working right, and it was really fucking with his motor skills.
Kayla nodded. "Okay. Where to?" She asked.
"Farther into the city," he said, still clinging tightly to the fence. His legs were starting to shake.
Kayla nodded and brought her arm under his, supporting him against her. Probably looked kinda funny, seeing a girl that was only 4'6" helping a much taller man down the street.
Her help was decent help, regardless of her height compared to him. All he wanted right now was to make it home and pass out. And hopefully not to catch hell for setting random shit on fire.
"What part of the city do you live in?" She asked, looking up at him as they walked.
"Near where that double murder was two nights ago," that was really all he could think of that could tell her where he lived. He hadn't been in the city for too long.
"I see." She said, looking in front of her again. "Do you like it there?"
"Haven't been there long enough to know," he cringed, as another spark went through his brain from the chip.
"Oh. Well, where did you come from? Was it a nice place? What about family, what are they like?"
"You," he cringed again, "ask too many questions."
"Sorry." She said. "I guess, I'm just a little home sick."
He cringed and his head jerked several times. This time small sparks could be seen escaping from the back of his head.
She stared up at the back of his head, tilting her's to the side. "What, exactly, is with that, anyway?"
"You fried," he cringed, his entire body jerking as sparks came out from the back of his head, "my chip..."
"Ehehe--Whoops. Sorry. I could try to fix it, if you want. Can't be too hard."
"Don't!" he cried out. He managed to look around a bit and weakly pointed towards a street to their right. "That way..."
Kayla sighed and went in the direction he pointed in. "I won't use any Symbology, if that's what you're worried about."
"I have someone who can fix it..." he sighed. "See that beat down apartment building?" he asked, pointing a bit. "There."
"Right." Kayla said, nodding and heading towards the building. She popped the door open, looking around the inside of the structure. "So this is where you live..."
"Third floor," he muttered.
She nodded, spotting an elevator to their left, and next to it a flight of stairs. She gave a smile and looked up at the man. "Race ya." She took him to the elevator, setting him down against the wall and pressing the 3rd floor button. "See ya at the top." She said, hopping out of the elevator as the door closed.
He slumped up against one of the elevator walls and sighed. "She's crazy," he muttered to himself.
Bing! The elevator doors opened once it had reached the 3rd floor landing. Kayla stood against the wall, arms crossed over her chest. "'Bout time." She said as she walked into the elevator, helping him off the floor.
"2C," he said, pointing towards a door a bit down the hallway. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a key.
"Rightie-o." She walked down the hall, helping him along to the door.
He fumbled for a few moments with the key before managing to unlock the door. Turning the handle and pushing open the door, he nearly fell into the apartment.
She brought her hand out, catching him before he fell. "Are you going to be okay?"
"I'm not sure..." he said weakly. He jerked violently as a few large sparks shot out from the back of his head.
