Deception and Rage

Behold the deceiver

Silent, stoic

Taking accusations

As if they meant nothing

Turn to the accusing crowd

Yelling, pointing fingers

As if saying opinions loudly

Will change the state of being

Some side with the accusers

Others side with the accused

And deception runs deep

Rage overpowering thought

Does any of it really matter?

Rage clouded minds

Muddle the truth

And remember things that never happened

The ever-watchful puppet master

Twists the strings

A sneer crossing her features

As the drama unfolds

See now the conspirator,

The one lurking in the corner

Whispering ideas into the ears of the innocent

Bending them to her will

Those who once loved

Now at each other’s throats

Ripping, clawing

Thirsting for blood

Hands reach out

To catch the fallen

Tending wounds

Breathing life back into frozen skin
