“See you later.”

Is that really all he could say?

Three words – that’s all I need

An “I’ll miss you,” or even an

“I love you.”

But no –

His three words mean nothing

The last three words

He’ll ever speak to me –

“See you later” –

Were a lie.

So insincere?

How could someone be

So heartless?

I know he’s not particularly

Loquacious

But three words?

And left to never return

Lingering in my mind
