Consequently, they fall in love and marry and Tanya changes her name to Margie Anderson to seem more American. The different cultures and occupations eventually lead to a bitter divorce and they part despising the other. Mickey meets Peggy Green and marries her, changing her name to Peggy Anderson. Years later, Mickey and Margie meet in a grocers and get into a brawl, resulting a shelf of cans falling on them, giving both amnesia. They don’t remember anything about their past, but in the amnesia ward of the insane asylum both were booked into, they both knew they detested the other. Mickey is still married to Peggy and both know he was previously married, though neither knows that Margie is the ex-wife. Both Mickey and Margie are both gradually remembering bits of their pasts, though their senses tell them to keep the knowledge to themselves. Scene is set three years later, Margie and Mickey are still in the asylum and Peggy comes daily to see her husband. Setting is in the visitor’s lounge.
