Collision with an aftermath –
the whiplash like an afterthought:
crashed through the recovery
to the unsuspecting past.

- You had me in your hands
But threw me back. –

Impact wrought with lack of thought –
but I won’t be deceived by the clash:
No matter the damage,
you’re never where I’m at.

Collisions fraught throughout my path –
Another shattered self lying in the glass:
a snapshot, frame long-lost,
glimpse caught at long-last

– a fragment
of the lifelong crash. –
