Mental suspension

So tell me,

Would you believe me

If I told you why I’ve been

Drifting in suspension?

-:- -:- -:-

Would you believe that I’ve become

Best friends with

Concrete and floor disinfectant?

I smile with my ears wired,

Because with music,

you just become a phantom in the background.

-:- -:- -:-

I’ve forgotten your eyes.

(But I’ve memorized your shoes.)

-:- -:- -:-

You used to tell me you

Didn’t believe in love.

Then why did you cut through those words

With a tongue that would only speak of her?

(I guess it’s just your definition of love then.)

-:- -:- -:-

Trust is one thing.

Mental stability is another.

-:- -:- -:-

You ask me why I’m sad.

I tell you I’m fine.

(I guess it’s just my definition of fine then.)

a/n: It’s just funny to think of him flying high, when I’ve hit my lowest breaking point.
