Diana

Three years passed. And then,

With new rain’s fall, the girl

Got up and dried her tears,

Smooth limbs untwining from the tree,

Hair turning in one smooth sweep

From stone to living breath.

The ivy leaves fell from her heavy head

And color flushed her tear-stained cheeks again.
