A World Away

A woman somewhere wails in agony o’er a lost baby

And I shoot another villain on my computer screen

A man is put in prison for saying that he’s sick of the pain

And I scream at my brother for silly things

A child cries out in hunger through the scorching drought

And I complain I don’t like what’s for dinner

A world filled with suffering is screaming to be heard

So I turn up my IPOD and drown it out

This was inspired by a book I read recently. It doesn't really reflect the style of the book, but it's the first reaction I had to it. No, I do not actually own an

IPOD (and I don't have a brother either come to think of it.) No it is not treason for a math pixie to read a book.
