(Fed Up)
I hear all the whispers and see all the glares.
What is it about me that makes you all stare?
Do you think I don’t notice when you glance my way?
Why don’t you tell me to just go away?
I know that’s exactly what you’d want me to do,
But that’s the one thing I refuse to do.
Do you think that by staring and giving me glares,
I’ll stop being her friend? Do you think that I care?
I don’t care what you think or what you may say,
I just want you to stop and make it all go away.
All that you’re doing is making me mad,
You’re irritating me and making her sad.
She’s sad that you’re fighting a battle for naught,
You make yourself angry, pissed-off and distraught.
-----------------------------------------------------
Just because I’m her friend doesn’t make you friends any less,
Get over yourself and stop the undue stress.
It’s only a friendship and she’s your friend too,
Don’t act like I’m taking her away from you.
Thinking: if she’s friends with me she’s not friends with you.
Don’t give her an ultimatum or dare make her choose.
----------------------------------------------------
If you make her choose I’ll throw myself in the mix,
And this is one problem you don’t want me to fix.
I’ve kept my distance for the sake of our friend.
I’ve watched all my actions and what I have said.
I’m not like you; I won’t go to another,
This is between me, you, and your mother.
I’ll lay all it out, as plain as can be.
I’ll say what you’ve done, to her and to me.
I won’t be there, to play and make nice,
I’ll let you have it and won’t even think twice.
My words will be colorful, vindictive at best,
I’ll spare you the details…you can figure out the rest.
-----------------------------------------------------
Quit trying to make her jealous, it’s obviously not working.
When I think of you trying I always end up smirking.
The reason I smirk is because the effort is futile.
I knew you were young but not this juvenile.
Using your friendships, with her friends,
To make her jealous, will bite you in the end.
Jealousy begets anger and anger begets hate,
It’s a vicious circle of feelings you shouldn’t contemplate.
You’re jealous of our friendship it’s plain to see,
You think to yourself “why isn’t she that close to me?”
I’m sorry that she’s closer to me than to you,
She could be one day, if you didn’t act like you were two.
------------------------------------------------------
So instead of causing trouble and starting some drama,
Why not handle it yourself instead of running to momma?
Grow up a little and come to terms with the fact,
That she’s both our friend and nothing will ever change that.
Please review. They are much appreciated and returned.
