Because I don’t speak my mind very often,

They think I'm incapable, that my views will soften.

I’m usually quiet and keep to myself,

Only giving my opinion when someone needs help.

I don’t see the point in arguing or debates.

People tend to start yelling right out of the gate.

But they get a surprise when they cross that line.

Once it’s crossed, there’s no going back in time.

I’ll quietly state, sometimes passionately.

My opinion on an issue, very eloquently.

Most of the time I keep my cool.

But push me enough and I’ll attack like a bull.

It really takes a lot to get under my skin.

This is a battle I sometimes don’t win.
