A/N: Hey people. I've recently taken up songwriting. I used to when I was younger, but trust me when I say they SUCKED! It wasn't even funny...ok a little. Haha. Anyways, I decided to post this one. I wrote it today. I had some personal inspiration from someone I know. I will not name names in case said person reads this. Haha. Well, please enjoy and review. Just please no flames. I'll take criticism though.

We Were the Cliché

I never felt it before

I never knew what it was

That made my heart go boom

You always smiled

A smile just for me

But I never knew

Never knew

--

We were the cliché

That people dreamed about

Best friends

In love

In love

Baby, we were the cliché

--

I did everything I could

To be with you

You fled I followed

I fled you followed

But I never knew

The feelings that haunted

You and me

I never knew

Never knew

--

We were the cliché

That people dreamed about

Best friends

In love

In love

Baby, we were the cliché

--

But then

I finally knew

Finally knew

I was captivated by you

By you

Your eyes

Your smile

Your laugh

Your voice

We’re the cliché, baby

And we never knew

--

We were the cliché

That people dreamed about

Best friends

In love

In love

Baby, we are the cliché

--

We finally know

Finally know

We were

We are

The perfect cliché
