Prologue

It all started with a single idea, born from a desire to test the limits of DNA manipulation. Humanity trying to play god.

And like all things created with the intention for good, this revolutionary breakthrough became a weapon, a way to create the perfect soldier.

Surprisingly, it was a success.

We now had the technology to modify ordinary people in powerful warriors, sharpen their minds, strengthen their bodies, and mute their emotions. There were few negative side effects, and only a single test subject reacted violently to the experiment. All in all, a complete success.

Of course, we could’ve just left it there, but as humans, we were greedy. We wanted to get more from this, and so we pushed our limits even further.

And then things got out of hand.

The project was immediately shut down with a vow to never be reopened.

But there were some people who just couldn’t let go…
