I hope for the things I dream.

-

Some things I may never know exactly

May never experience exactly

But so do wish to.

-

Wish upon all

In my childish ‘what ifs ’

Yet I know the answer

It’s just not my path.

Still

It wouldn’t hurt to leave with a pat on the shoulder…..

-

It still hurts…

I know I’m better off

I know this is the path

This is my journey.

Oh but what I would give to share it.

-

I look back and see all that I lost

And can only hold hope in the unknown;

The forward;

The future.

That which is behind overlooks me

So why must I still hold it

Grasp it

Grapple for it

When it resists so-

With such insensitivity.

-

What was

Will never be now.

I know, but

-

It still hurts.

-

I wish you could know.
