through cracks in the sidewalk
I can see Your Lips
clashing, rhythmically
to the beating of my
ears

and through the stars in the
windshield
I can taste Your ocean
Tears
running down those porcelain
cheeks like
glaciers, slowly
melting into
shame

and through the falters in Your
Throat
I can hear our anger
burning like the
tempest rain of
our soul and

yes,
the venom is sharp on Your
Tongue, but
maybe

if I suffer enough,
our sidewalk cracks will fade into

love.

(or anything but this.)
