Not Done Fighting

Prologue

“Baby what are you doing?”

“Making a picnic lunch mom, I’m going to surprise Jimmy” said Mackenzie. They’ve been together for a year now, he means everything to her, and she loves him more than anything.

“I still don’t like that boy Kenz” her mother said.

“I know mom but I love him” she said putting the rest of the lunch into the basket.

“I know your almost seventeen, I’ll respect your decision even thought I don’t agree” her mother said handing her the keys.

“Thanks mom” Mackenzie said hugging her mom” I’ll be back around three-thirty”

“All right be safe” her mother said watching her walk out the door.

As she pulled up to Jimmy’s house she noticed his parents weren’t home. She smiled at the fact. She got out of the car and walked up to the door and reached for the handle and surprisingly it was unlocked. So she walked up stairs.

“Jimmy?” she called out but she didn’t hear anything. So she walked up to Jimmy’s door and opened it. The basket hit the floor with a loud thump. Jimmy had his arms around another girl, kissing. She could sear her heart was breaking in two.

“Kenzie…I…WAIT!” He yelled as she turned and ran and quickly bolted down the stairs and out the door.

“KENZIE! WAIT!” Jimmy yelled again but she didn’t stop she jumped into her car and drove off. He quickly jumped in his car and drove after her.

“Kenzie please stop” he said aloud to himself. She was going so fast, and she just ran a red light! Jimmy looked over and saw and semi coming, it’s going to fast to stop. Her Mustang was no match for the large semi.

“NO!” Jimmy yelled as he heard the crunch of her car being hit. After her car stopped moving Jimmy quickly got out of his car and ran to her. There was so much blood.

“Kenzie...I...oh my god”

“Why Jimmy?” she whispered, “I love you”

“Baby I’m sorry, I was… Kenzie baby stay awake”

“Jimmy, I hurt so bad” she said barley audible.

“The ambulance is coming, it will be okay” he said looking down at her.

“I don’t know” she looked up at him with eyes of fear and hurt and then fell into darkness.
