Black and White

No grey

No color

Black and white.

Nothing in between

Nothing out of the ordinary.

No, that would be

Wrong.

Take away the freedom

To do and say

Whatever.

Teach young children

To only think inside the box.

They don't know any better

And now they never will.

Punish those who think differently.

They will never be "saved"

And make them see

Just how wrong they are.

Black and white.

Never grey

Or colorful.

Everything is the same

As it was

And will ever be.

There is nothing new

There never will be.

No new ideas

We'll stick with what you say

What you teach us

What you want us to believe.

No thinking for ourselves

Because

Black and white

Is all that exists.

No shades of grey

Or vibrant colors.

Please note the sarcasm in this poem. Thank you.
