There a lot of mistakes in Hero, so I am starting a revision of this as well. The story takes place around the medieval time period.
Chapter One: Tragedy
It was a clear night with the moon shining throughout the land. Nothing could go wrong, well at least that’s what a certain couple thought.
Within the castle's walls, was a town. While it was the most populated town within the kingdom, it was more of a marketplace for merchants. In the center of the market, stood a large tree whose shaded covered much of the town.
Standing beside the tree was a girl who appeared to be sixteen. She had long, flowing blond hair that reach halfway down her back and warm blue eyes. A few feet away from her was a man a few years older than her who was painting a picture of her standing beside the tree.
“Now, don’t make me look ugly,” said the girl while leaning against the tree.
“That’s impossible. Even a child’s scribble of you would be beautiful,” said the man grinning.
She giggled. “Are you done yet?” she asked after awhile.
“Almost and done!” he said, turning the newly painted picture of her.
What she saw was completely stunning. The moonlight reflected upon her eyes. The night sky went perfectly with her dress.
“Is it that bad?” the young man asked smiling.
“It’s beautiful!” she replied. They stood there together for awhile for before heading back home.
As they were walking back, a dagger pierced the man from behind. The girl gasped as she saw blood pouring out of his body. The dagger had pierced his lung.
“I…love…you…” he said before the life from his eyes faded away. She looked up to see the man who murdered the man she loved. She got up and ran as fast as she could.
“Help!” she screamed, hoping someone would hear her. She turned, and she was going to regret it. It was a dead end, and the man had caught up.
“Please, don’t,” she begged. As the man came nearer, she begged again.
“You should do what the lady asks,” a new, unfamiliar voice said.
“Stay out of this,” the murderer growled.
“Do what she asks or regret it,” the unknown man said. This time is was more of a command rather than a suggestion.
“Shut up!” he yelled as ran at the unknown man. The murderer swung his dagger down at the unknown man. At the second the blade was about to hit him, he sidestepped and drew out his sword.
“I gave you two chances,” he said before he stabbed the man. He kicked the murderer's body aside and ran over to the girl.
Whoever this man was she could never repay him.
"Thank you," was all she managed to say before fainting.
I don't suggest reading any of the chapter that have not been revised. I wrote this story a long time ago, and my writing ability has increased since then, so there will be a large difference in the quality of the writing between the revised chapters and the original chapters.
