Pools of Anger and Despair

OceansAway

I drown

In pools of anger I've spilt

Washing away the blood

The bleeding, the pain

Cooling it

Drowning in the boiling heat

-

It cools

The heat chills to a liquid ice

Dulling the pain

The omnipresent pain

Numbing me

Drowning in the sickening apathy

-

As I lay here

Staring overhead

Through the ire, the indifference

The pain was my constant

I begin to wonder if

We were meant to be

-

But I cannot stand it

The constant ache

I don't end it slowly, crimson falling to the floor

I end it quietly

A few dozen pills

And hours later...
