Schizophrenic Goddess

My body moves to a foreign beat,
I’m floating on high – can’t feel the floor!
I’m out of my head,
spinning…
The walls move in circles and
my eyes widen in flamed enjoyment.
Such a pretty flower, why so sad?
Warm wind brushed through my fingers,
Rushes the tangled, burning gold from my face –
And I am free!
I can fly! From this mountaintop –
The waves crash beneath me, and my toes are planted
Beyond the silk grass and the sane,
Oh, the heat!
It fills me up and inflates me upright,
Arms outspread – I am me!
I am the flames, my hair comes alive
And I fly! Softly, so softly…
I bring orgasmic orange to the sun,
and innocent, pink passion to the clouds –
I am more than this world,
My colours paint the sky,
My fingers brush past the leaves,
My lips linger on the purple petals…
I am free, I am the whisper
That you never hear.

Chaos! Just chaos – I scream!
I am dropped in the dark; black rain beats me down.
The concrete poisons me. I am grey again!
This heart has stopped, I am lost!
Screams infiltrate the night, this girl heard by
everyone.
And no one.
Collapsed, my fingers curl and these tears are fresh.
Forgotten by the stars, sky and the still, still moon – so cold!

So alone.

Sick by my skin, shadowed by silver silhouettes
in this neverending night…
The rain gathers in my veins,
It numbs my brain… freezes my forgotten face,
And slowly now… so slowly…
I fall asleep – the dirty yellow locks
fall across my serene, dead face,
And I am engulfed in this place –
the rain that floods my lungs,
and cools my burnt soul.
