A/N: Hi everyone! This is just a sonnet that I wrote a few days back and it is based on a true story. About two or three months back a man who is ten years older than me (and who's a friend too) said that I was immature for my age as I liked going out with my parents and spend time at home rather than going out - he said that a family outing is a nightmare for a person the age of 15. I was kind of upset about this and strange to say I didn't have a go at him at all as he wanted to understand me a bit better and to help me with things in life. So this sonnet is dedicated to my friend.
How dare you call me immature when
You know I’m almost twenty?
Just because I don’t go out
Smoking, drinking, partying
Doesn’t mean I am immature
Everyone learns lessons
At some stage in their life
So just let me be and I will
Learn things in my own time
I admit that I do have a hell
Of a long time to go but
I know I will grow up
And encounter different experiences
But have some faith in me
