A/N - I was inspired by the movie "Mr Bean's Holiday", in the scene where Mr Bean hangs up on a guy who has lost all hope... Please leave a review I can then learn to refine my writing! Thank you.

He stood, a solitary figure, on the crumbling edge of the old bridge. Fierce, howling wind whipped across his face, disarranging those golden locks of hair that he had so devoted himself to keeping in place. His blazer threatened to fly off, as the screeching gale became more powerful. Even his tie couldn’t take it, and half-strangled him as it flicked about like a snake’s tongue. But Leo made no move to retreat from the edge.

Suddenly, his mobile phone rang, disturbing the natural atmosphere. Hope lit up his eyes as Leo made a rapid movement to flip open his mobile and press it against his ear.

“Stella, you still care?” he blurted. “I want you to know…I still do…”

Bleep…bleep…bleep

With a heavy sigh, he tossed away his mobile into the turbulent river below. Depressed, yet again, he kicked at the edge of the bridge, and missed…

Down…down…down he went. Time seemed to slow down as he arched backwards, his arms flailing through the air. Gently, he closed his eyes.

Goodbye, cruel world.
