Tale of the Lunar Flowers of the Moon Goddess

Summary: one night, a girl asks her father to read to her the story of how the moon goddess created the lunar flowers that are in their backyard. mysteriously, the full moon shines its light on the flowers; causing the girls' eyes to glow along with them. What do you think happened to the girl and her father?

Part One "Good night, my little angel." a man with long dark brown hair and green eyes said to his daughter; kissing her on her forehead. the man reached over and turned off the light. just as soon as he was about to leave, the light is on again. the girl's father stopped and turned around to face her.

"Now Alex, you have to turn off the lights, in order to get good rest." her father said with a warm smile.

the girl just shook her head 'no' and pulled out a book to hand to her father. "Bed time story," she whispered softly. since her father had really good hearing, Alex could talk softer and softer and her father wouldn't have to strain just to hear her.

the look that Alex gave her father made him sigh in defeat as he walked over and sat down down beside his daughter. he picked up the book and started to read:

Long ago, when the moon was still young, the sky was empty. Only the moon and the sun existed. After many years of waking up alone, the moon began to cry from loneliness. She wanted someone's company; she wanted someone to love and someone to love her.

One day, as the sun was rising, he saw the sad and lonely moon. 'Why are you crying?' he asked. The moon looked back and for the first time she saw her true love. She fell in love at first glimpse of the sun. The sun also found the moon to be beautiful in her angelic white glow.

After years of being lovers, the moon soon felt lonely again. She was sad because she wasn't able to see her lover then just a couple minutes before she went back to sleep. Kami-sama heard her cries and spoke to His daughter. 'What is wrong, my dear?' He asked. 'I am lonely and sad because I cannot see my true mate for only a grain of time. I want someone to be with me when I wake.' the moon cried. 'My daughter, if it would make you happy, I will grant you three wishes.' Kami-sama replied. The moon wiped her tears away and began to think. 'I want children; I want them to have the same glow as their father but rise like their mother.' The moon requested. and thus, stars were made.

After years of playing with her billion of children, the moon soon got sad once again. 'My daughter, what troubles you?' Kami-sama asked. 'I am jealous of my mate, they are all fast asleep.' The moon sighed. 'Shall I make flowers in your name, my daughter?' Kami-sama asked. the moon nodded with hope in her eyes. 'How shall I make them?' Kami-sama asked. The moon began to think. 'I want them to be as blue as the night sky, with a picture that resembles me and they shall wake when I wake.' The moon smiled. And thus, the Flower of the Moon Goddess were made.
