Chapter Seven

So Nadia was a bitch. I was a 100% sure of it. Especially when I walked into the party that night and saw the way she was all over Eric Masterson. I should of known she'd fit right in with his group. I knew there would be no way in hell that my brothers or Camden would allow that much of a bitch to weasel her way into their group.

“That is completely gross.” I rolled my eyes as Sara and I walked farther into the house. The two were setting on one of the couches in the middle of the living room. Nadia was sprawled over Eric's lap and the two were in a much more than casual make out session.

“What is?” Sara had been occupied looking for someone, I'm sure Camden, so she hadn't seen what I had been so unfortunate to see. I pointed in the direction of Eric and Nadia. Sara cringed. “You're right, that is completely gross.”

“Hey sis!” I turned to see my brothers walking over to me. They each had a beer in hand but from the looks of it neither had started drinking too much.

“Hey, so yea I think I've seen the grossest thing ever.” I mumbled before pointing in the direction of the living room not wanting to see it again.

“Oh yea that is pretty gross.” Matt laughed before he shrugged. “That's Eric for you. We'll catch up with you later.”

“Yea I'll catch up with you later too.” Sara said as she followed after my brothers. Maybe she hadn't been looking for Camden this time. It was becoming a little weird. First Matt asked if she'd be here and then she's off following them. I'd definitely have to ask her later what the deal was.

I was leaning up against the kitchen counter when I felt someone come up beside me. I glanced sideways and sighed. It wasn't Camden, nope it was Nadia. She had a bottle in her hand and was smirking at me.

“Oh what did Eric dump you after he got all he wanted?” I growled taking a sip of my Dr. Pepper. I was hoping to avoid her, but I think she had me on radar. “He tends to do that to girls.”

“Wouldn't you like to know.” The girl didn't know me at all. I didn't want to know one bit of information about either of the two. “Aw I see you apparently can't handle alcohol that's why you're drinking this.”

I looked as she shook my half empty can. Was she trying to provoke me or what? I could handle alcohol, I just chose not too. “I can drink and handle alcohol just fine.”

“Really, than take a shot with me. Unless you can't handle it.” Nadia said as she'd grabbed two shot glasses and poured something in them that I hadn't realized she was holding. She pushed one to me and eye balled it. She was trying to provoke me.

“Fine.” I said before I knew what I was saying. I picked it up and then I chugged it...nearly spitting it back out but managed to get it down in time. “Oh my god, what the hell was that?”

It burnt my nostrals and was still burning in my throat. Whatever it had been, had been the worse tasting thing I'd ever had.

“151.” She laughed pouring another one. What the hell was 151? Did she know I didn't know jack about alcohol?

“No way in hell am I taking another one of whatever.” I said pushing the shot glass away but then Nadia gave me one of those looks and I knew she had me. I shouldn't have let her get to me, but I did. So against my better judgement I took the next one.

- - -

I giggled when someone put their arm around me. I looked up and saw Eric grinning down at me.

“Dude you are totally wasted.” Giggle.

“Babe you're pretty drunk yourself.” Eric slurred. I wasn't slurring was I? Things were kind of fuzzy and I knew I was standing in the kitchen with Nadia. I'd only taken two shots of the whatever, but then I think I'd had a beer or something...I didn't know.

“I'm not! I never get...” Giggle. Everything was funny. “Drunk...I feel reallly good though...”

“Mmmhm.” Eric laughed. “It's always better when your feeling really good.”

“Nope not happening mister.” I giggled pushing him away as he leaned down.

“Shay?” I giggled at the voice. I turned to look at him but nearly fell. “Oopsy...stupid heels...”

“Shay you aren't wearing heels...are you drunk?” Camden asked me and I let out a growl. He didn't look happy...but I was feeling happy...why did he have to spoil my fun?

“No I'm am not drunk!” I pushed at him as he grabbed a hold of me after I tried to take a couple steps, but stumbled. Giggle. “I could have swore I was wearing heels...”

“Nadia? You did this didn't you?” He looked at Nadia and I heard a giggle. Nadia? Was she still standing there? He let go of me and walked behind me. “Did you give her this shit?”

“God Cam, don't get on my case. It wasn't like I forced it down her. She took it on her own free will.” It was Nadia but I didn't want to turn...was the room spinning?

“You're a fucking bitch you know that?” Camden sounded mad. I don't know why he was so mad. I mean I was really happy. Where did Eric go? I jumped at the sound of glass breaking. I turned to say something, but fell right on my butt. “She can't hold alcohol worth a shit, but I'm sure you knew that.”

“Ow...” I giggled as Camden gave me a mean look. The room really spun then. “That was so much fun!”

“Asshole, you're buying me another bottle.” Nadia was mad now. Why did he make everybody mad all the time? What did he break? Who had a hold of me? Eric? No! He wouldn't dare? Why couldn't I see straight?

“Shay, let's go.” Camden bent down and started lifting me up. I struggled but he just held on tighter. “You're drunk and I'm taking you home.”

“But I don't want to go home...” I growled. I'm not drunk! I was just tipsy...“I'm not drunk! Why does everybody keep saying that?”

He didn't let me walk, nope he picked me up like I was a princess.

“I always wanted to be a princess.” I told him as I leaned my head against him wrapping my arms around his neck. “But you can't drop me! I'll be sooo mad! You know my butt hurts? Why does my butt hurt?”

“Yea I'm sure it does.” He wasn't no fun. “You fell that's why it hurts. Just be quiet and go to sleep.”

“You're a meanie head!” But I did close my eyes...the world was weird looking when I left them opened...and was it really spinning?

- - -

I opened my eyes Saturday morning and couldn't believe the headache I had. Did I seriously get drunk last night? I closed my eyes and thought about the night.

“Oh shit.” I mumbled as I remembered practically the whole night. I mean things were very fuzzy, but I remember Nadia provoking me to take a shot of something nasty. I couldn't remember what she'd called it. I couldn't believe how stupid I'd been. I never drank...ever. Not after that one time the boys said I'd only had a couple drinks, but I was tipsy enough I swore I'd had more. That's when the boys classified me as a lightweight.

I remembered Eric trying to kiss me, asshole, I'd make sure to hit him the next time I saw him. I remember how Nadia didn't seem very drunk...and then Camden came in. That was embarrassing...and I think he broke Nadia's bottle of whatever in the sink...I think...something broke anyway. And he had to carry me all the way to his car didn't he? I couldn't remember past him picking me up and something about being a princess. I remembered just a little of him waking me up taking me out of the car and I think he carried me all the way to my room.

“God I am so stupid!” I smacked myself upside the head, which hadn't helped my head any. “That bitch is going to get it.”

“Yea you are a complete moron.” I didn't have to look up. I knew it was him. He was probably there to rub it in. “There's a reason you don't drink. You can't hold even a few bottles of beer let alone, 151!”

“Shut up!” I covered my head with a pillow. He was pissy. Probably because I'd spoiled his own fun last night. “What the hell is 151 anyway?”

“A rum that I won't even take a straight shot of. That shit can mess you up if you aren't careful.” He crossed his arms before pushing himself off my doorframe. I wondered how long he'd been there. Had he stayed the night?

“Ok, stop with the damn lecture. I made a mistake.” I growled setting up to look at the clock. It was almost 1 in the afternoon. “If Nadia wasn't such a bitch. She deliberately got me drunk didn't she?”

“Nadia's a bitch and I thought you were smart enough to figure that out.” Camden wasn't going to let me off apparently. “But I will admit that you make a pretty cute drunk. Oh yea try some doritos and bean dip...it won't cure you but it won't make you feel like you want to vomit.”

“Get out of my room.” I growled through a pillow at him. He let out another chuckle before ducking out. What was up with him? One minute he was so mad at everything and then the next he's finding whatever he could to laugh at me. Talk about PMS. I heard my phone ring and reach over. Ethan.

- - -

Ethan picked me up an hour and 4 tylenol later. He'd been trying to call me all morning but I hadn't picked up. I told him to come get me out of that house and that I'd tell him when he got there.

“Hey beautiful.” He smiled as he wrapped his arms around me. He'd been leaning against the passenger side of the car waiting for me. “You look so good...are you ok?”

“Uh yea...um I kind of...had too much to drink last night?” I buried my head in his chest. I'd noticed if I stopped moving and closed my eyes, the pounding felt better.

“What? Why?” He asked pulling me away from him a little. “I thought you said you don't drink?”

“Yea, well I usually don't.” I narrowed my eyes. I wasn't actually directing it at him, but at the thought of his ex-girlfriend, it just happened. “Until you're bitch of an ex got under my skin.”

“Oh shit.” Why was everyone saying that word today or last night or both? “I'd told you I'd talk to her, but you said no, that you could handle her.”

“And I can! Well at least now I can.” I closed my eyes again. That tylenol hadn't done anything to help. “I'll admit I'd underestimated just how sneaky she could be, but it won't happen again.”

“If you say so. But if she does something else I'm going to step in, got it?” Ethan said as he opened my door. “Where to?”

“I don't care. Just anywhere.” I smiled as he got in and we started pulling away. “Um can we pick up doritos and bean dip?”

We ended up going and setting at the park. I did eat the doritos and bean dip. They actually didn't taste all that bad and they did help my stomach. My head was still pounding, but atleast my stomach wasn't so bad anymore. We stayed there for half an hour before we decided to go back to his house and watch a movie.

- - -

I had fallen asleep on Ethan's bed after the movie had ended and woke up to hear the shower running in his bathroom. I felt a lot better now, but my head my still killing me. I had a feeling I'd have that headache for at least a day or so. I glanced around the room. It had been the first time in his room.

It was much bigger than mine. I was pretty sure his bed was a king. He had a few posters in his room, mostly basketball athletes. There was a computer against the wall by the bathroom. It looked nice. I would love to have my own computer instead of sharing. I liked his room. It was simply but you could easily tell what kind of person he was.

I had my back to the bathroom when I heard the door open.

“He-” I turned to say hey, but the word got stuck in my throat. He had a towel over his shoulder drying his hair and was wearing a pair of lose fitting jeans. I had been right about the whole six pack thing. I blushed when I saw him look down at himself then back at me with a grin on his face. “Uh hey.”

“Sleep good? You've been out for two hours.” He said as he set down next to me. I think I was still blushing. His hair was disheveled and wet. He was darker than me.

All I could do was nod. I was suddenly very aware of every move he made. I let my hair fall into my face hoping he wouldn't see my blush again. Apparently I was out of luck...or maybe it was good luck because he had taken his hand and pushed my hair behind my ear leaving his hand on my cheek.

“You know you absolutely look adorable when you sleep?” He asked as his thumb stroked my cheek. It felt unbearably nice, I couldn't help but lean into his hand alittle. “I can not find one thing about you I don't like.”

I looked at him and I wanted to kiss him. I'd never had a guy say things like this to me and it made me feel like I was the only girl in the world. He must have been thinking the same thing because he leaned in and met me halfway. It was slow at first, but quickly picked up pace. I put my arms as much around his waist as I could while he put his other hand on my other cheek. It was the first real good kiss we'd shared. After a moment we pulled away slightly out of breath.

“I better get you home before you're brothers come pounding on my door.” Ethan said before kissing my forehead. I nodded as he got up to slip on a shirt. I watched him closely, wondering how I could have been so lucky to nab a guy as great at him.

a/n here's chapter seven :) It's the shortest chapter so far, but I actually think this was the most fun to write so far. and if you're curious about the 151 thing. It's a rum and when we went out for my 21st birthday my friend had bought me a shot of this. It was sooo nasty. And I've heard people talk about how it can mess you up, and after my friend told her what she'd given me (i got a shot of rum while my bff got a shot of whiskey) my mom had said that if she'd known that's what it was, she wouldn't have let me take the shot. I don't know if this got me feeling it or if it was a mix of eveything, but I'm pretty sure it did the most damage...I don't even what to know what I'd would have felt if I'd taken 2 shots ick. put how it effects you is based on your alcohol tolerance...and let's just say that Shay doesn't have a very high tolerance...hehe....and I ended the chapter with a little something, something between Ethan and Shay :D
