The Place That Remains

I'd listen to the things she’d say.

I’d add up all she would betray.

Her plastic face forced to portray.

The faith that’s left all worn and gray.

There is a place that still remains.

Deserts the love and eats the pain.

The sweetest price she had to pay:

The day her whole world went away.
