Heard people thought I retired from the Empire,

But no, I was just tired and uninspired,

So I spent some dire time on the grind

To refine and redefine myself,

To re-find that fire hiding inside;

Even Superman died and came back flying.

But look, this isn't a comic book,

I really was shook, stuck in a rut

Like a fish caught on a hook,

Writing a book without any luck.

I just couldn't do it, couldn't see it through,

Letting down myself, my family, and my crew,

Trying too hard to be Big Blue,

Wanting to save the world through and through,

But here's the truth, one hundred proof –

The higher you fly the harder you fall;

Believe me, I've been falling since last Fall.

I learned my lesson though, I can be stalled,

And Apex loses in All Fall Down,

So I'm back to basics in the first round,

I shed some pounds and let my feet touch ground

Back down to earth, like the rebirth,

And I'm never reversing again, it's not just a verse,

It's my word, so forget what you heard:

I'm not done, I'm not retired

I'm hot again and flying higher

So take a breath and preach to the choir –

Hobie's back and he's Inspired.
