Writing

I have to write anywhere, but home.

Pedaling to the train station

I’m write in my mind,

steer with my hands

one knows its job,

the other has to labor.

I write while waiting for the train, and on the train -- ‘less

there’s someone next

to me. I sense a glance, an eye lighting

on my words, my pen stops. Writing is private

but I sneak about

doing it in public places.
