from where i stand, i can see the skyline
and that's all i need to remind me that i'm stuck here,
grounded on earth by these two sneakered feet
not having the wings to shoot me up to Jupiter

and everyday i'm reminded that i am nothing but another person
grounded on this earth, never gunna fly away
just one more number in the system: 1778017
never gunna be noticed as someone different

but you make me feel like i'm flying anyway
holding hands when we sit on the swing set
trying to calculate how high we have to go
to send ourselves to outer space, high above the humans

somehow, i'm still here though, staring at the skyline
being stuck here on planet We Are All The Same
waiting to fly away from this horrible place
waiting for you to save me.
