Chain Of Memories
I remember the summer breeze giving the trees life
Letting their fingers rake the tears on my face
Trying to watch my eyes, but I’m trying to look at yours
And you were standing there, not saying anything more
Walking away, yet it was a welcome to follow
I was so alone that day
I remember the winter gloom outside giving me life
While we walked down the school hallways
Our laughter ricocheting off the walls
Like a smiling ghostly spirit of ours watching us
Fooling the world with our own foolishness
I couldn’t stop laughing that day
I remember the night star’s twinkle sending the moon life
You were wearing those ridiculous clothes
And there was a light purple dress for me
The grimace clear on my face while your mocking smile on yours
You ran from me like a madman while I strained not to smile
I couldn’t look at you seriously that night
I remember the morning clouds taking the shining sun’s life
I let the doubt haze me over, all my thoughts interpretations
The cold water littered my face from the facet
The sound of the voice I always remembered you in echoes
It was your fault why I love that song now
I would refused to see the sun that day
So I’m aware of the circumstance and how this is inconvenient to you
I’m aware my memory has been weary
I’m not sure what you may get from this, but I do know
What my chain of memories could serve for me
I’ll remember the good stuff and the total image of you
Till it can’t serve me anymore, till that day
