Untitled (September 2005)

Another day has passed

Since I saw you

Since I talked to you

The pain has not faded

Even if it seems it has

Nothing will make it leave

Memories of you

Are too precious to forget

I loved you more than you knew

You were family

The sister I had always wanted

To us you were so

Young

But your body was quite old

At fifteen you were

Young and Old

I’ve known you since I was five

Three years younger than me

But you were always so good

At relating to me

You listened patiently

And loved unconditionally

Three months have passed

We all miss you so much

Mom and Dad still get weepy

Brother has your picture

And two of your bandanas

And me, your big sister

I have all my memories

And our last picture together

Every month I cry for you

I want you back

I’m selfish

The Heavens cannot have you!

You belong here!

I miss you so much

Your shaggy fur

Your really bad gas

They way your snoring

Was as loud as Daddy’s

I’ll miss the noises you

Made in your sleep

And your teeth chattering

That sounded like purring

You were super mellow

A real inspiration
