AS I STAND

I stand so close,
to the edge,

I'm on the ledge.
I stand in front,
here I am,
I stand in front,
all over again.
I stand in my place,
trying to race,
I stand in my place,
but can't find a trace.
I stand right here,
in deep thought,
I stand right here,
not wanting to rot.
I stand for you,
crimson flowing,
I stand for you,
now I'm glowing.
I stand right now,
with one last step,
I stand right now,
to long I've kept.
I stand and long,
to take the stride,
I stand and long,
not to hide.
I stand, my mind,
waiting for day,
I stand, my mind,
wanting to say.
With one last step,
I could end it all,
But with one step,
I will fall.
So as I stand,
I stand for you,
So I take that step,
and fall for you.
