Waiting Too Long:

Hi, I’m here,

I waited for you

You went off to do

What to needed to.

I sat here for you

While you lived your life

Just like you told me

Because I’m your wife.

I raised our children

And know they are gone

But I am still waiting

I’ve been waiting too long.

My face is wrinkled

My hairs turned gray

Please come back soon

Come back to stay.

Our children grew up

Without their father around

“My dad ran off”

How does that sound?

I don’t want to be mean

I just want you here

Please come back soon

I love you dear.
